BLCP creates a green world with the "Change Light Bulbs, Reduce Energy Consumption, Reduce Global Warming" project, continuously raising youth awareness to care for the planet.

In line with the government's national energy management policy, which promotes and fully implements energy conservation according to the 20-year Energy Conservation Action Plan (2011-2030), and encourages the use of high-efficiency electrical equipment and energy-saving buildings, develops clean energy to reduce greenhouse gases and address global warming, as well as raises awareness for efficient energy use across all sectors.

BLCP responds to government policies in all aspects, and one of its many important energy conservation projects is the "Change Light Bulbs, Reduce Energy Consumption, Reduce Global Warming" project, now in its 9th consecutive year. This project involves surveying light bulb usage in schools and temples in Rayong Province, replacing fluorescent lamps with LED (Light-Emitting Diode) lamps, which can save up to 60% on electricity costs, contain no UV or mercury substances, are environmentally friendly, and help reduce global warming.

Mr. Yuthana Charoenwong, Managing Director of BLCP Power Limited (BLCP), stated that BLCP initiated the "Change Light Bulbs, Reduce Energy Consumption, Reduce Global Warming" project in 2011, continuing for 9 consecutive years until the present (2020). This has resulted in a calculated electricity consumption reduction of 82,726 watts, or a total saving of approximately 4,500,000 Baht (an average of approximately 500,000 Baht per year), and a carbon reduction of 377 kg CO2/day. The company has replaced light bulbs for 53 underprivileged temples and schools in Rayong Province, including Wat Takuan, Wat Nong Faeb, Ban Muang Rae School, Ban Klong Yai Muang School, Ban Mab Chang Non School, Wat Samnak Thon School, Wat Sa Kaeo School, Somboonarama School, and Wat Chak Mak School.

The project is a collaboration between BLCP and technical colleges in Rayong Province and volunteers, namely Rayong Technical College, Ban Khai Technical College, Map Ta Phut Technical College, and Rayong Polytechnic College. This initiative helps develop vocational skills for electrical technicians and volunteers, and also enables students, teachers, and school personnel to participate in energy conservation and saving, fostering a strong awareness for efficient and optimal energy use.

In addition to the aforementioned project, BLCP also has an environmental conservation policy in collaboration with the Rayong community, continuously implemented since the start of power plant construction to the present. This policy focuses on maintaining forest areas and restoring degraded watershed areas to their fertility, such as the BLCP Forest Park Project (located within the BLCP Power Station area), covering 10 rai over 13 years, which can sequester 106.2 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e); the Product Carbon Footprint Project, which calculated carbon dioxide emissions at 974 gCO2e / kWh; and the Community Forest Partnership Project for Global Warming Reduction in Ban Maduea Community, Khao Chamao District, Rayong Province, covering 25 rai, which can sequester 20 ton CO2e over 10 years. All these projects are considered crucial for integrating cooperation among the government, public, and industrial sectors in climate change management, contributing to Thailand's goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20-25% by 2030.
