3 Steps in Controlling Seawater Temperature
Outfall (Cooling Water Discharge Channel)
Seawater is used in a Once-through system for heat exchange.
and discharged through a cooling water channel approximately 600 meters long to help reduce the temperature before release into the sea.
Real-time Monitoring
Continuously monitor the temperature of discharged seawater.
Maintain temperature not exceeding 40 °C throughout operation.
Sampling: Temperature Verification
Randomly measure seawater temperature at 13 locations within a 500-meter radius from the discharge point.
Temperature change not exceeding 2 °C compared to natural reference points.
If any abnormality is found or if there is a tendency for the temperature to exceed the criteria, production capacity will be immediately reduced according to preventive measures.
