This CEMs report for October 2021 presents the results of stack emission measurements for BLCP Power Station for Unit 1 and Unit 2 throughout October 2021, covering measurements of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), opacity, and total suspended particulates (TSP), which are hourly maximum values.
Regarding sulfur dioxide (SO2) measurements, it was found that in early October 2021, Unit 1 experienced elevated SO2 levels due to valve testing and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) system cleaning. The measured values exceeded the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) limit of 262 ppmvd@7%O2 but remained below the Thai legal limit of 320 ppmvd@7%O2. Unit 2 and Unit 1 during other periods consistently showed SO2 levels below both criteria.
The nitrogen oxides (NOx) measurement results for both Unit 1 and Unit 2 throughout October 2021 clearly indicate that the measured values were significantly below the Thai legal limit of 350 ppmvd@7%O2 and the EIA limit of 241 ppmvd@7%O2.
For opacity and total suspended particulates (TSP), both Unit 1 and Unit 2 maintained low emission levels throughout October 2021, demonstrating effective pollutant control.
