BLCP Power Station's Air Quality Report for May 2025 shows that pollution measurements from the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) and ambient air quality from the Air Quality Monitoring Station (AQMS) are all within standard limits and safe for health.
CEMS measurement results for Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) show that the measured values are below both Thai legal standards and EIA requirements. Specifically, TSP values are below 120 mg/m³@7%O2 and 43 mg/m³@7%O2, SO2 is below 320 ppmvd@7%O2 and 262 ppmvd@7%O2, and NOx is below 350 ppmvd@7%O2 and 241 ppmvd@7%O2, respectively.
For ambient air quality measurements from the 4 AQMS stations around BLCP Power Station, namely Wat Takuan, Soi Thoed Thai Muslim, PTT Staff Housing Fence, and Wat Mab Chalood, it was found that Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) are all within Thai legal standards. Specifically, TSP is below 330 µg/m³, PM10 is below 120 µg/m³, SO2 is below 300 ppb, and NO2 is below 170 ppb.
BLCP Power Station employs pollution control measures such as clean coal technology, Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP), and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems.
