The CEMS Report for May 2023 summarizes the results of stack emission measurements from BLCP Power Station for both Unit 1 and Unit 2, covering key parameters such as Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Opacity, and Total Suspended Particulate (TSP).
Regarding Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) measurements, the maximum hourly emission values for both units were mostly below the prescribed limits. The Thai legal limit is 320 ppmvd@7%O2, and the EIA limit is 262 ppmvd@7%O2. During May 25-26, 2023, maximum load acceptance tests were conducted for Unit 1 and Unit 2, leading to an upward trend in SO2 values, especially for Unit 2, where values approached the EIA limit.
For Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), the maximum hourly emission values for both units consistently remained below the limits. The Thai legal limit is 350 ppmvd@7%O2, and the EIA limit is 241 ppmvd@7%O2. Even during the maximum load acceptance tests, NOx values remained well within controlled levels.
Regarding Opacity and Total Suspended Particulate (TSP), the maximum hourly emission values for both units throughout May 2023 were observed to be very low and clearly below the prescribed limits. The Thai legal limit for TSP is 120 mg/m³@7%O2, and the EIA limit is 43 mg/m³@7%O2.
