This report summarizes the results of the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) measurements for BLCP Power Station for June 2023, covering sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), opacity, and total suspended particulate (TSP) measurements from the stacks of Unit 1 and Unit 2.
For sulfur dioxide (SO2), the maximum hourly measurements for both Unit 1 and Unit 2 throughout June 2023 were within standard limits. The highest observed value was approximately 250 ppmvd in Unit 2 during June 20-21, when ESP low-performance testing and RRA testing were conducted towards the end of the month. These values remained below the Thai legal limit of 320 ppmvd and the EIA criterion of 262 ppmvd.
The maximum hourly nitrogen oxides (NOx) measurements for both units were also within standard limits, mostly remaining below 150 ppmvd throughout June 2023. Despite NOx maximum load testing for Unit 1 and 2 during June 12-13 and RRA testing for Unit 2 towards the end of the month, the measured values remained below the Thai legal limit of 350 ppmvd and the EIA criterion of 241 ppmvd.
Regarding opacity and total suspended particulate (TSP), the maximum hourly measurements for both Unit 1 and Unit 2 throughout June 2023 showed stable and low trends. Opacity values were mostly below 10%, and TSP values were mostly below 20 mg/m3, which are below the Thai legal limit of 120 mg/m3 and the EIA criterion of 43 mg/m3 for TSP.
Overall, the air pollutant emission measurements from BLCP Power Station's stacks in June 2023 for SO2, NOx, opacity, and TSP from both Unit 1 and Unit 2 consistently demonstrated levels below the standard limits stipulated by law and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report.
