BLCP Power Station's Monthly Air Quality Report for June 2026 presents air quality monitoring results from both Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) at the stack and from 4 Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS) surrounding the power plant.
Monitoring results from the stack using CEMS indicate that Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) are within the standards set by Thai law and EIA requirements. Specifically, TSP does not exceed 120 mg/m³@7%O2 (Thai law) and 43 mg/m³@7%O2 (EIA); SO2 does not exceed 320 ppmvd@7%O2 (Thai law) and 262 ppmvd@7%O2 (EIA); and NOx does not exceed 350 ppmvd@7%O2 (Thai law) and 241 ppmvd@7%O2 (EIA). All values are within health-safe limits.
For ambient air quality monitoring from the 4 AQMS stations, it was found that Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) are also within the standards set by Thai law. Specifically, TSP does not exceed 200 µg/m³, PM10 does not exceed 100 µg/m³, SO2 does not exceed 100 ppb, and NO2 does not exceed 120 ppb.
The 4 air quality monitoring stations are located at Wat Takuan, Soi Thoed Thai Muslim, the PTT staff housing fence, and Wat Mab Chalood. All monitoring results demonstrate that the overall air quality, both from the stack and in the ambient environment around BLCP Power Station, is 'within standard' and safe for health.
