The BLCP Power Station's CEMS report for January 2026 presents air pollutant emission monitoring data from the stacks of Unit 1 and Unit 2, showing the maximum hourly measurements for Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Opacity, and Total Suspended Particulate (TSP) throughout the month.
For Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), the maximum hourly measurements for both units remained below the legal standards and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) standards. Specifically, the legal standard for SO2 is 320 ppmvd@7%O2, and the EIA standard is 262 ppmvd@7%O2. For NOx, the legal standard is 350 ppmvd@7%O2, and the EIA standard is 241 ppmvd@7%O2.
Regarding Opacity and Total Suspended Particulate (TSP), the maximum hourly measurements for both units also remained below the prescribed standards. The legal standard for TSP is 120 mg/m³@7%O2, and the EIA standard is 43 mg/m³@7%O2.
Throughout January 2026, Unit 2 experienced an outage period, resulting in no monitoring data during that time. However, during the operational periods of Unit 1 and Unit 2, all monitoring data demonstrated continuous compliance with environmental requirements.
