The BLCP Power Station's CEMS report for January 2024 presents air pollutant emission monitoring data from the stacks of Unit 1 and Unit 2, covering measurements of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), opacity, and total suspended particulates (TSP) throughout January 2024.
For sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) measurements, emission values for Unit 2 throughout the month, and for Unit 1 after its outage in early January 2024, were consistently below the Thai legal standards (SO2: 320 ppmvd@7%O2, NOx: 350 ppmvd@7%O2) and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report criteria (SO2: 262 ppmvd@7%O2, NOx: 241 ppmvd@7%O2).
Opacity and total suspended particulates (TSP) measurements also showed satisfactory results. Opacity values for both units remained low throughout the month, and total suspended particulates (TSP) for Unit 2 and Unit 1 after its outage were clearly below the Thai legal standards (120 mg/m3@7%O2) and the EIA report criteria (43 mg/m3@7%O2).
Overall, the BLCP Power Station's air pollutant emission monitoring results from the stacks for January 2024 demonstrate compliance with environmental requirements. It is noted that Unit 1 underwent an outage in early January 2024, resulting in no emission data for that period.
