BLCP Power Station's CEMs Monthly Report for August 2022 presents the results of stack emission measurements for Unit 1 and Unit 2 throughout August 2022, which include Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Opacity, and Total Suspended Particulates (TSP).
The maximum hourly measurements of Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) for both units in August 2022 consistently show values below the Thai legal standard of 320 ppmvd@7%O2 for SO2 and 350 ppmvd@7%O2 for NOx, as well as below the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) standard of 262 ppmvd@7%O2 for SO2 and 241 ppmvd@7%O2 for NOx throughout the entire month.
For the maximum hourly Opacity of gases emitted to the atmosphere from both Unit 1 and Unit 2 in August 2022, the values were very low, mostly below 10%, indicating good efficiency in controlling stack emissions.
Regarding the maximum hourly Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) emitted to the atmosphere, most measured values for both units were below the EIA standard of 43 mg/m³@7%O2 and below the Thai legal standard of 120 mg/m³@7%O2. However, it is noted that Unit 1 recorded a maximum TSP value of 44.69 mg/m³, for which continuous soot blowing was performed at the Secondary Reheater.
