Fallen leaves within school grounds are no longer waste to be swept away! When fermented with specific bio-fermented liquid and animal manure, these fallen leaves transform into "excellent ready-to-plant soil," which both helps reduce waste and genuinely fosters environmental learning.

BLCP Power Station, in collaboration with Maptaphut City Municipality, Maptaphut Industrial Port Office, Thap Ma Subdistrict Municipality, Rayong City Municipality, and Samnak Thon Subdistrict Municipality, organized the activity "Teaching Kids to Make Compost from Fallen Leaves" for students from Wat Noen Phra School, Wat Samnak Kathon School, Wat Krok Yai Cha School, and Prapatsorn Khunatham School.

Learning by doing, hands-on experience, transforming schools into low-carbon classrooms, sharing rapid decomposition techniques within 45 days. This initiative brings knowledge that BLCP has learned from the community to teach students to experiment with making fast-decomposing compost themselves.

Learning about Circular Economy helps students truly understand how reusing surrounding resources helps reduce landfill waste, incineration, and global warming. This also extends to organic vegetable gardens in schools. The resulting soil is used to grow kitchen gardens at school, reducing chemical use, and students can also apply this knowledge at home.

BLCP and its network partners are committed to continuously "expanding this knowledge" to other schools and educational institutions in the area, to instill environmental awareness that grows with the new generation of youth.
