BLCP: Committed to Society, With Care – Delivering COVID-19 prevention equipment and continuously generating income for the community.

April 27, 2020 – BLCP Power Station continues to provide encouragement, delivering N95 masks, cloth masks, and Face Shields to hospitals, public health agencies, and government organizations in Rayong Province and neighboring provinces, while continuously creating jobs, careers, and income for the community.

Mr. Adisorn Wangmoon, Director of Human Resources and Corporate Support, BLCP Power Company Limited, stated that the company has always been concerned about the well-being and continuous income of the community. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic from the beginning of the year until now, the company has considered the long-term impact on the community. Therefore, BLCP has collaborated with Map Ta Phut Municipality, local communities, and various community enterprises within Map Ta Phut Municipality to continuously create jobs and generate income for the community. Experts were engaged to provide training on making cloth masks. Subsequently, fabric and equipment for making cloth masks and Face Shields were supplied to senior citizen clubs, communities, and community enterprises. Additionally, they collectively brainstormed ways to enhance online sales channels for organic fruits and various seafood processing methods, ensuring that communities and fishermen can continuously earn income to support their families. Today (April 27), the company, along with Mr. Sakda Jitdon, Chairman of Nong Bua Daeng Community, and Mrs. Ampai Wannadon Daeng, Vice Chairman of Koh Kok Community Enterprise, jointly presented 1,000 cloth masks and 100 Face Shields (the company will gradually deliver the remaining Face Shields to complete 1,000 units) through Map Ta Phut Municipality. Mr. Prasan Boontem and Mr. Aran Jaitang, Deputy Mayors of Map Ta Phut Municipality, heads of government agencies, and community chairpersons were present as representatives to receive the donation at the Map Ta Phut Municipality Office, Rayong Province. These items will be distributed to Village Health Volunteers, the elderly, and public health personnel of the municipality for their operational use, as well as to the general public, to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. For the cloth masks, the company provided 1,000 sets of fabric from Map Ta Phut Municipality to communities and community enterprises. They collaborated on production during a time when most people lacked income, thereby continuously creating jobs, careers, and income to assist the community during the COVID-19 crisis.

Concurrently, the company has always recognized its social responsibility. We wish to offer encouragement and support the work of doctors, nurses, and medical personnel in combating the COVID-19 virus by delivering N95 masks to medical personnel at 4 hospitals, namely: Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Hospital, Rayong Province; Rayong Hospital; Ban Chang Hospital, Rayong Province; and Queen Sirikit Hospital, Chonburi Province.
