BLCP Power Station Air Quality Report for September 2025 summarizes measurement results from the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) and four Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS). Overall, all measured values were within standard limits and safe for health.
For emission measurements from the power plant stack (CEMS), the parameters measured were Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx). All measurement results were within the standard limits set by Thai law and EIA requirements. Specifically, TSP values were below 120 mg/m³@7%O2 and 43 mg/m³@7%O2, SO2 values were below 320 ppmvd@7%O2 and 262 ppmvd@7%O2, and NOx values were below 350 ppmvd@7%O2 and 241 ppmvd@7%O2, respectively.
Regarding ambient air quality measurements from the four AQMS stations, namely Wat Takuan, Soi Thoed Thai Muslim, PTT Staff Housing Fence, and Wat Mab Chalood, the measurement results for September 2025 showed that Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) were below 330 µg/m³, Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10) was below 120 µg/m³, Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) was below 300 ppb, and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) was below 170 ppb. All these values were within the standard limits set by Thai law.
BLCP Power Station utilizes clean coal technologies such as Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) for particulate matter control and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) for SO2 removal. Additionally, 24-hour monitoring is conducted, and results are regularly reported to government agencies and the community to control pollution and ensure air quality.
