The BLCP Power Station's Monthly Air Quality Report for May 2026 presents the results of air quality measurements from both emission stacks and the ambient air surrounding the power plant. All measurement results indicate that the values are within the prescribed standards and safe for health.
Regarding air quality measurements from emission stacks using the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS), it was found that Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) were within the standards stipulated by Thai law and EIA requirements throughout May 2026.
For ambient air quality from the 4 Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS) surrounding BLCP Power Station, namely Wat Takuan, Soi Thoed Thai Muslim, PTT Staff Housing Fence, and Wat Mab Chalood, the measurement results for Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) were all within the standards stipulated by Thai law.
BLCP Power Station utilizes clean coal technology, such as Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) for dust collection and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) for SO2 removal. Additionally, 24-hour monitoring is conducted, and results are reported to government agencies and the community monthly to ensure air quality remains at a safe level.
