The air quality report for March 2025 of BLCP Power Station shows that air quality from both the power plant stack and the surrounding areas is safe for health and meets all specified standards.
Measurements from the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) for emissions from the power plant stack found that Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), and Opacity are within the standards set by Thai law and EIA standards. Opacity is controlled at a low level, causing no impact on the community.
For air quality measurements from the 4 Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS) around BLCP Power Station, namely Wat Takun, Third Thai Muslim, PTT Housing, and Wat Mab Chalood, it was found that Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), PM10, Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) are all within the standards set by Thai law.
BLCP Power Station employs pollution control measures using clean coal technology, Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) for dust collection, and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems. Additionally, air quality is monitored 24 hours a day using an automatic system, and results are reported to government agencies and disclosed to the community monthly.
