BLCP Power Station's Monthly Air Quality Report for June 2025 presents measurement results from the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) and 4 surrounding Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS).
CEMS measurement results for Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) indicate that all measured values are within the standards set by Thai law and EIA requirements. Specifically, TSP values are below 120 mg/m³@7%O2 and 43 mg/m³@7%O2, SO2 values are below 320 ppmvd@7%O2 and 262 ppmvd@7%O2, and NOx values are below 350 ppmvd@7%O2 and 241 ppmvd@7%O2, respectively.
For ambient air quality measurements from all 4 AQMS stations, namely Wat Takuan, Soi Thoed Thai Muslim, PTT Staff Housing Fence, and Wat Mab Chalood, it was found that values for Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) are all within the standards set by Thai law.
Specifically, TSP values are below 330 µg/m³ (24-hour average), PM10 values are below 120 µg/m³ (24-hour average), SO2 values are below 300 ppb (1-hour maximum), and NO2 values are below 170 ppb (1-hour maximum). This demonstrates that the overall air quality is safe for health.
BLCP Power Station utilizes clean coal technologies such as Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) for dust collection and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) for SO2 removal. Additionally, air quality is monitored 24 hours a day, with results reported to government agencies and disclosed to the community monthly. This ensures that all values consistently remain within standard limits.
