BLCP Power Station's Monthly Air Quality Report for July 2026 presents measurement results from both the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) and the 4 Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS) surrounding BLCP Power Station. All measurement results indicate that air quality is safe for health and within the prescribed standards.
For stack emissions (CEMS), measurement results for Total Suspended Particulate (TSP), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) are all within the limits stipulated by Thai law and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) requirements. Specifically, TSP values do not exceed 120 mg/m³@7%O2 (Thai law) and <43 mg/m³@7%O2 (EIA); SO2 values do not exceed 320 ppmvd@7%O2 (Thai law) and 262 ppmvd@7%O2 (EIA); and NOx values do not exceed 350 ppmvd@7%O2 (Thai law) and 241 ppmvd@7%O2 (EIA).
Regarding ambient air quality measured at the 4 stations surrounding BLCP Power Station, namely Wat Takuan, Soi Thoed Thai Muslim, PTT Staff Housing Fence, and Wat Mab Chalood, measurement results for Total Suspended Particulate (TSP), Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) are all within the standard limits set by Thai law as well. Specifically, TSP values do not exceed 200 µg/m³; PM10 values do not exceed 100 µg/m³; SO2 values do not exceed 100 ppb; and NO2 values do not exceed 120 ppb.
BLCP Power Station utilizes clean coal technology, including Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) for dust collection and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems for SO2 removal. Additionally, air quality is continuously monitored 24 hours a day using automated systems. Results are regularly reported to government agencies and disclosed to the community monthly. This ensures that air quality, both from the stacks and in the surrounding ambient environment, remains at safe levels and complies with prescribed standards.
