The August 2026 Air Quality Report for BLCP Power Station indicates that both stack emissions and ambient air quality around the power plant meet all specified standards, ensuring the health and safety of the community.
Regarding stack emissions (CEMS), measurements of Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) were significantly below both Thai legal standards and EIA requirements. This demonstrates effective control of pollutant emissions.
For ambient air quality (AQMS), from the four monitoring stations around the power plant, the August 2026 measurements for Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) also met all Thai legal standards.
The four air quality monitoring stations are located at Wat Takuan, Soi Thoed Thai Muslim, the PTT staff housing fence, and Wat Mab Chalood. These locations ensure comprehensive air quality surveillance in key areas surrounding the power plant.
BLCP Power Station employs pollution control measures using clean coal technology, such as Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) for particulate matter and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) for SO2 removal. Additionally, 24-hour monitoring is conducted using an automatic system (AQMS), with results reported to government agencies and disclosed to the community monthly.
