The Ambient Air Quality Report for April 2024 presents the measurement results for 4 types of air pollutants: Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), from 4 monitoring stations: Wat Takuan, Trok Thai Muslim, PTT Housing, and Wat Mab Chalood.
For the 24-hour average Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) values, all measured values were below Thailand's standard of 330 micrograms per cubic meter. Similarly, the 24-hour average Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10) values were below the standard of 120 micrograms per cubic meter throughout the month.
Regarding Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), the maximum hourly measured values were below Thailand's standard of 300 ppb. Likewise, the maximum hourly Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) values were also below the standard of 170 ppb.
However, it was noted that monitoring station Shelter A experienced power outages and UPS system issues from early to mid-April, preventing data collection during certain periods. A recommendation has been made to replace the UPS. In summary, the overall air quality in April 2024 at all monitoring points was good and below the legally prescribed standards.
