CEMs Meeting Report for October 2019 summarizes the results of air pollutant emissions measurements from the BLCP Power Station's stacks for both Unit 1 and Unit 2, covering measurements of Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Opacity, and Total Suspended Particulate (TSP).
Regarding Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) emissions into the atmosphere in October 2019, the maximum hourly concentrations for both Unit 1 and Unit 2 were consistently below the Thai legal standard of 320 ppmvd@7%O2 and the EIA criterion of 262 ppmvd@7%O2. FGD system cleaning was performed for Unit 1 on October 5, 2019, and for Unit 2 on October 10, 2019. Additionally, a Visible Plume project test was conducted for Unit 1 from October 18-20, 2019, and the measured values remained within the specified criteria.
For Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) emitted into the atmosphere, the maximum hourly concentrations for both units throughout October 2019 were consistently below the Thai legal standard of 350 ppmvd@7%O2 and the EIA criterion of 241 ppmvd@7%O2.
Regarding the opacity of exhaust gas emitted into the atmosphere, values for both units were very low throughout October 2019. As for Total Suspended Particulate (TSP) emitted into the atmosphere, the maximum hourly concentrations for both units were also consistently below the Thai legal standard of 120 mg/m³@7%O2 and the EIA criterion of 43 mg/m³@7%O2.
In summary, the results of air pollutant emissions measurements from the BLCP Power Station's stacks in October 2019 demonstrate that all types of measured pollutant emissions remained within the standards stipulated by law and the EIA report.
