Stack Emission Monitoring Report for February 2020 of BLCP Power Station, covering measurements of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), opacity, and total suspended particulate (TSP) for Unit 1 and 2.
For sulfur dioxide (SO2), the maximum hourly emission values for both Unit 1 and 2 throughout February 2020 were below the Thai legal standard of 320 ppmvd@7%O2 and the EIA standard of 262 ppmvd@7%O2, with most values remaining below 200 ppmvd@7%O2. Similarly, for nitrogen oxides (NOx), the maximum hourly emission values for both units consistently remained below the Thai legal standard of 350 ppmvd@7%O2 and the EIA standard of 241 ppmvd@7%O2.
Regarding the opacity of exhaust gas discharged into the atmosphere, the maximum hourly values for both Unit 1 and 2 throughout February 2020 consistently remained low, with most values below 20%.
For total suspended particulate (TSP) measurements, the maximum hourly values for both units remained below the Thai legal standard of 120 mg/m³@7%O2. However, it was noted that Unit 1 had low efficiency of its ESP (Electrostatic Precipitator) and underwent net power output performance testing. Consequently, TSP values for Unit 1 on February 24-25 increased and approached or slightly exceeded the EIA standard of 43 mg/m³@7%O2. Meanwhile, Unit 2 maintained values below 30 mg/m³@7%O2 throughout the month.
Overall, most air pollutant emission measurements were within the prescribed standards. Full daily measurement details are available in the attached file.
