BLCP Power Station's CEMS report for June 2020 presents air pollutant emission monitoring data, including Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Opacity, and Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) for Unit 1 and Unit 2.
Throughout June 2020, the maximum hourly SO2 values for both Unit 1 and Unit 2 remained below the Thai legal standard of 320 ppmvd@7%O2 and the EIA value of 262 ppmvd@7%O2. Bias FGD was employed to control flue gas temperature. Similarly, the maximum hourly NOx values for both units consistently remained below the Thai legal standard of 350 ppmvd@7%O2 and the EIA value of 241 ppmvd@7%O2.
Flue gas opacity for Unit 1 and Unit 2 remained low throughout the month, mostly below 20%.
Regarding Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), with a Thai legal standard of 120 ppmvd@7%O2 and an EIA value of 43 mg/m3@7%O2, Unit 1 experienced elevated TSP values from June 10-15, 2020, due to low electrostatic precipitator (ESP) efficiency and the combustion of coal with a low K-factor (12th HV shipment).
Meanwhile, Unit 2 experienced two instances of elevated TSP. The first occurred from June 10-12, 2020, due to a malfunction of the Air circuit breaker (SWGR-B), which reduced power generation from 672 MW to 200 MW. The second occurred from June 20-22, 2020, due to a malfunction of the Air circuit breaker (SWGR-A), resulting in a 0 MW load. Full details are provided in the attached file.
