The Monthly Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Report for October 2019 of BLCP Power Station conducted air quality measurements at 4 locations: Wat Takuan, Teud Thai Mosque, PTT Housing, and Wat Mab Chalood.
For the 24-hour average measurements of Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) and Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10), most values were within the prescribed standards. The maximum values did not exceed 150 µg/Nm³ for TSP (standard value 330 µg/Nm³) and did not exceed 70 µg/Nm³ for PM10 (standard value 120 µg/Nm³). However, it was noted that unusually high TSP and PM10 values were found at the Shelter C monitoring point. This was due to a malfunction in the room's temperature control system, causing condensation in the sampling tube and dirt flowing onto the filter. The ICT team has rectified the issue, and the equipment is now functioning normally.
Regarding the hourly maximum measurements of Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), the values measured throughout October 2019 were very low and significantly below the prescribed standards. The maximum SO2 value did not exceed 50 ppb (standard value 300 ppb), and the maximum NO2 value did not exceed 50 ppb (standard value 170 ppb).
In summary, the ambient air quality monitoring results for BLCP Power Station in October 2019 indicate that the overall air quality was within the legally prescribed standards. The only anomaly occurred at the Shelter C monitoring point, which has since been rectified. Full details are in the attached file.
