Ms. Yupapin Wangviwat, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited or GULF, revealed that Gulf NLL2 Company Limited (GNLL2), a subsidiary, has commenced commercial operation and supplied electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) since January 1, 2019.
The Gulf NLL2 power plant project is a Small Power Producer (SPP) located in WHA Rayong Industrial Estate, Rayong Province, with an installed power generation capacity of 126.9 MW and an installed steam production capacity of 10 tons per hour.
This project has a power purchase agreement with EGAT for 90 MW for a period of 25 years, while the remaining power and steam generation capacity will be sold to industrial customers.
This Gulf NLL2 power plant is the 9th natural gas-fired SPP power plant project out of a total of 12 projects under Gulf MP Company Limited (GMP), which has a total power generation capacity of 1,563.4 MW and a total steam production capacity of 225 tons per hour.
Currently, the company is constructing the remaining 3 SPP power plant projects, which are expected to gradually commence commercial operation as scheduled between March and July 2019.
