BLCP Power Company Limited (BLCP/BLCP Power Station), represented by Ms. Naowarat Kangwankij, Assistant Manager of Corporate Communications, participated in the award ceremony to receive the plaque and certificate for the "CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2023" for the 14th consecutive year. The plaque received this year is specifically for factories that have participated in the program for more than 10 years, demonstrating its commitment to recognizing, promoting, supporting, and fully complying with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards for industrial operators. The event was organized by the Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, at the Royal Jubilee Ballroom, Challenger Building, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province. Mr. Julapong Tawesri, Director-General of the Department of Industrial Works, presided over the opening ceremony and presented the awards.
Receiving this award today reaffirms BLCP Power Station's operations, which prioritize social and environmental responsibility under the ESG framework (Environment, Social, Governance) and in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This has led to numerous projects that address community needs, increase income, and improve community health and well-being, such as the "Mixed Soil for Planting" project, which helps reduce expenses, lower carbon emissions, and enhance quality of life; the "Raised Bed Vegetables" project, providing safe vegetables that increase income and quality of life for the community; and the project supporting scholarships for students in local communities and various colleges to elevate education for youth in the area. These three projects are just a few examples of the many initiatives BLCP Power Station has continuously undertaken for sustainable community development.
