BLCP Power Station supported the release of 200,000 blue crab larvae on the 7th World Oceans Day, organized by the Marine and Coastal Resources Office 1.

June 8, 2020 – Mr. Adisorn Wangmoon (Director of Human Resources and Corporate Support), a representative of BLCP Power Station, participated in the opening ceremony of World Oceans Day 2020, which has been held for the 7th consecutive year at Khod Por Public Park, Noen Phra Subdistrict, Mueang District, Rayong Province. The event was honored by Acting Sub Lt. Pirun Hemmarak, Deputy Governor of Rayong Province, who presided over the ceremony. Mr. Puchong Saritdichaikul, Director of Marine and Coastal Resources Office 1, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, along with representatives from the private sector, community leaders, and numerous relevant agencies, also attended the event.

Mr. Adisorn Wangmoon stated that "BLCP Power Station prioritizes and has a policy to continue activities that help increase aquatic animal populations by continuously releasing aquatic species for 18 years. This includes co-organizing other activities that help maintain the balance of the marine ecosystem, which, in turn, helps increase income for local fishing communities. Furthermore, the activities organized on this occasion are diverse, encompassing the promotion of awareness for marine resource conservation and campaigns for marine environmental protection, the deployment of artificial reefs to create habitats for marine life, the restoration and development of 102 rai of mangrove forest area around Phra Chedi Klang Nam, as well as the maintenance of the Phra Chedi Klang Nam Mangrove Learning Center to serve as a learning resource for visitors and youth in Rayong Province. Moreover, it also supports aquatic animal breeding farms for the nursery of juvenile aquatic animals before releasing them into the sea. The release of aquatic species into the sea and along beaches from Rayong Estuary to Phala Beach has been continuously organized for 18 years, with 2,000,000 aquatic animals released annually."

And today, BLCP Power Station supported the release of 200,000 blue crab larvae to increase aquatic animal populations and as part of promoting sustainable development, which will lead to a happy society and abundant natural resources and environment for the benefit of all sectors.
