Project Background
Project Background
Farmers expressed concerns that the plume issue led to reduced yields. They also faced problems with local housing estates due to the use of chemicals, which caused disturbing odors in the community. Moreover, prolonged use of chemicals resulted in soil degradation, increased plant diseases and insect infestations damaging agricultural produce, and negatively affected farmers' health. Acknowledging these issues, the company launched a CSR initiative to enhance the quality of life for farmers, titled the 'Sufficiency Economy Organic Agriculture Project,' which has been in operation since 2558 to the present.
Target Group:Farmers in the Maptaphut Municipality area, comprising 3 communities:

Khod Hin Mittraphap Community
Khao Phai Community
Note: Currently, 16 plots (approximately 57 rai) are participating in the project. Of these, 10 plots are certified organic, and 3 plots are certified for safe agriculture.

Project Goals for 2558-2562
To build strong communities and sustainable organic farming practices.
To restore the health of people, soil, water, gardens, and the environment.
To expand the network of farmers in Rayong Province to adopt organic practices and develop towards organic agriculture certification standards (TAS 9000), starting with the conversion of 2 hydroponic plots to organic farming.
To enhance knowledge transfer capabilities to develop personnel within the organic farming group, enabling them to become experts in fermented water, aromatic soil, and hormones, which are key factors in organic farming.
Goals for 2563
To expand organic farming knowledge to agricultural plots in Maptaphut Municipality and Rayong Province, targeting 100 interested individuals to visit the Sufficiency Economy Organic Agriculture Learning Center for study tours.
To establish a network of young organic farmers (out-of-classroom learning) in local primary schools (target for 2563: Wat Khod Hin School, Ban Maptaphut School), involving 180 students.
To develop the Khod Hin and Khao Phai areas into a production and distribution center for safe food, increasing income by more than 1 million baht.
To recruit 50 new members to join the organic agriculture project.
To use 100% environmentally friendly packaging.
To bring organic vegetables to the market.
