Started! Day 1 — BLCP Business & Innovation Camp 2026
From classroom experience to real-world business and innovation learning.
On August 1, 2026, BLCP Power Limited opened its doors to welcome selected students participating in the BLCP Business & Innovation Camp 2026, held from August 1–2, 2026, at BLCP Power Station, Rayong Province.
The activity began with an introduction to safety guidelines for visiting the power plant, followed by a video introduction to BLCP Power Station by the Corporate Communications team. This ensured students could familiarize themselves with the area, understand the activity procedures, and learn safely within the power plant throughout the two days.
Mr. Surachet Rattanaprasert, Deputy Managing Director of BLCP Power Limited, then delivered the opening speech and welcomed the students, offering encouragement and guidance for their studies. He emphasized that students should be open to learning, listen attentively, note down important points, and apply the knowledge and experience gained from the activity to their studies, future planning, and self-development.
In the first learning session, students gained an understanding of the role of the Finance and Accounting Department in the power plant business from Mr. Chetthapol Paiboonwarakit, Finance and Accounting Manager. He conveyed how financial, cost, and resource management are crucial for the stability and sustainability of a large-scale business operation.
This was followed by the topic 'Economic Impact' by Ms. Atchara Somboonmee, Power Purchase and Fuel Contract Management Analyst. She encouraged students to broaden their perspective, explaining that power plant operations are not solely about electricity generation, but are also interconnected with the economy, employment, business sectors, communities, and various stakeholders.
After gaining knowledge from BLCP's experts, students proceeded to a practical learning activity from Tutorrus Institute, led by Ms. Jutarat Ruansuk and Mr. Panachai Chayawijitsilp. They designed the learning process to enable students to think, analyze, and work together as a team.
Throughout the day, students participated in intensive activities, including Activity-based Learning, Mini Pitch, Business Case Studies, Customer Insight, Idea Generation Sprint, and SWOT Analysis. This was to practice systematic problem-solving, understand customer needs, identify business opportunities, and develop actionable ideas.
In addition, students also participated in the BLCP Site Tour, gaining real-world experience of power plant operations, before concluding with a Consulting Session where each team received close guidance to develop their concepts and prepare for the important tasks on Day 2.
Even on the first day, it was filled with energy, creativity, and learning. All student teams dared to think, ask questions, express opinions, and fully present their ideas.
