During certain periods when the weather is cool, the sky is clear, or there is little wind, many people may observe white plumes from the power plant's stacks more clearly than usual.
So what are these white plumes?
The visible plumes are hot gases composed of water vapor and various particles. When hot gases from the production process, which have passed through pollution control and treatment systems, rise and come into contact with cooler air, condensation occurs. This results in the appearance of white plumes resembling clouds, which is a natural phenomenon dependent on weather conditions.
Weather conditions at different times, such as low temperatures, high humidity, or the color of the sky,
may make the plumes more visible, even though operations and emissions consistently adhere to strict environmental standards.
