The 81-2/2565th Meeting of the BLCP Power Station Tripartite Committee was held online on Friday, August 5, 2565, chaired by Mr. Wira Mawijak. The meeting acknowledged the COVID-19 situation in Rayong Province and resolved to approve the minutes of the 79-2/2564th meeting held on October 28, 2564.
Under the agenda item for follow-up matters and operational reports, BLCP Power Station reported on support for quarantined individuals/COVID-19 infected persons, support for the Elderly and Disabled Quality of Life Development Center, employee data for 278 people (66.4% residing in Rayong), local employment, and continuous scholarship grants totaling over 24.7 million baht since 2544. Additionally, various CSR activities were publicized, such as the donation of consumer goods and medical equipment to combat COVID-19, receiving the CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2021 and Green Industry Level 4: Green Culture, as well as participation in the "Rak Mae Nam Rayong" activity and the Technician Development Project.
BLCP Power Station's operational results from October 2564 to March 2565 showed a total of 1,790,305 tons of coal docked, with an average sulfur content of 0.44% in 2565, which is within EIA requirements. The net electricity generation from Unit 1 and Unit 2 totaled 1,790,133 MWh-net and 2,428,456 MWh-net, respectively. A total of 257,024.80 tons of fly ash and 21,330.45 tons of bottom ash were exported.
Environmental monitoring results indicated that the amount of air pollutants discharged from the stacks of both power plant units, general ambient air quality, noise levels, wastewater quality from the wastewater treatment system, water quality discharged from the cooling water discharge canal, and seawater temperature were mostly within the prescribed standards. Only phosphate-phosphorus values in seawater at some points exceeded the standard in October 2564 but were comparable to past monitoring results. BLCP Power Station and the coal unloading port have complied with environmental impact mitigation measures covering all aspects, such as air quality management, surface water, waste, ecosystems, transportation, and public health.
