The Tripartite Committee Meeting of BLCP Power Company Limited No. 73-3/2562 was held on Wednesday, September 18, 2562, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Meeting/Seminar Room, Kiang Saket Energy Building, BLCP Power Station, with Mr. Wira Mawijak as Chairman.
Under the agenda item for follow-up and BLCP Power Station's operational report, a summary of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community relations activities was presented. A total of 1,759 visitors toured BLCP Power Station between April and June 2562, and 133,223 visitors in total from December 2544 to the present year. Additionally, the power station implemented the Sufficiency Economy Organic Farming Project, awarded scholarships, organized a summer novice ordination program, held "Pha Pa Samakkee" merit-making events at 12 temples, built crab condominiums, and conducted 16 mobile medical unit projects for the community, covering 7 sub-districts in Rayong. This also included continuous support for souvenirs and snacks from the community for the 12th consecutive year.
Environmental monitoring results from March-May 2562 by United Analyst and Engineering Consultant Co., Ltd. showed that the levels of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide emitted from the stacks of both power generation units were within the EIA standards. Additionally, ambient air quality at 6 stations and general noise levels around the power station and Wat Takuan were in compliance with established standards. Furthermore, the quality of wastewater from the treatment system and seawater quality in the Map Ta Phut Bay area also met standard criteria. The maximum seawater temperature recorded was 32.7°C, which is within the specified limit of not exceeding a 2°C change from natural conditions.
Regarding operations, BLCP Power Station generated a net total of 1,482,926 MWh-net from Unit 1 and 1,482,521 MWh-net from Unit 2 between March and May 2562. This involved using a total of 1,182,921 tons of coal with an average sulfur content of 0.43% as of the end of May 2562, which remains in compliance with EIA requirements for an annual average not exceeding 0.45%. In terms of safety, the power station achieved 5.5 million working hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) as of January 5, 2563. It also successfully passed ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 audits without any non-conformities on April 23, 2562.
For the Coal Unloading Port Project, a Dust Prevention Hood system has been installed, and drainage channels and water collection ponds have been prepared for wastewater management. Furthermore, leaks at the coal unloading port were repaired with polyurethane foam and tested, with no further leaks detected. These are part of the environmental impact prevention and mitigation measures as stipulated by the EIA. The full details of the meeting are available in the attached file.
