The BLCP Power Station Tripartite Committee Meeting No. 66-4/2560 was held on Thursday, December 21, 2560, from 14.00 – 16.30 hrs. at the Meeting/Seminar Room, Kiang Saket Energy Building, BLCP Power Station. Mr. Wira Mawijak served as Chairman, and Ms. Naowarat Kangwankit as Minute Taker. The meeting resolved to approve the minutes of Meeting No. 64-2/2560, which was held on June 15, 2560.
Under the follow-up agenda item, Mr. Veerapol Puangpittayawut presented the operational results of the marine ecosystem restoration project in the Ko Saket area. The project commenced in 2557-2558 and involved the nursery cultivation of 3,000 pieces of boulder coral, brain coral, ring coral, and sea anemone coral. However, the nursery raft was damaged by monsoon winds, leaving only 681 coral fragments. These were relocated for nursery care to Ko Kai Tia, Chonburi Province, on July 26, 2560, and will be replanted at Ko Saket once they reach appropriate growth.
In terms of community relations, BLCP Power Station has continuously organized various activities and projects, such as scholarship grants, support for annual Buddhist Lent candle casting activities, and 'Pha Pa Samakkee' merit-making events. Additionally, in collaboration with the Friends of the Community Association, mobile medical units and tutor projects were organized. During June-September 2560, a total of 1,940 visitors toured BLCP Power Station. Support for souvenirs and snacks from the community totaled 1,212,313 Baht since 2551.
On August 10, 2560, BLCP Power Station successfully passed the audit for OHSAS18001 (2007) Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO14001 (2015) Environmental Management System with no non-conformities. It also received various awards, including Green Industry Level 4, two categories of the Thailand Coal Awards 2017, and the CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2017. Furthermore, the maintenance schedule for Generating Unit 2 was announced for September 10 – October 2, 2560, and for Generating Unit 1 for October 15 – December 24, 2560.
Operational results for BLCP Power Station and the coal terminal from June-August 2560 showed a total of 899,100 tons of coal docked, with an average sulfur content of 0.42%, which is within standard limits. Net electricity generation totaled 1,483,294 MWh-net for Unit 1 and 1,483,522 MWh-net for Unit 2. Environmental quality monitoring, including stack emissions, wastewater discharge into the sea, and ambient air quality, found that most parameters were within the prescribed standards, despite some periods of elevated opacity and particulate matter due to system cleaning and equipment malfunctions.
