BLCP, with a commitment to society, donated 9,900 Face Shields to medical personnel, supporting continuous income generation for the community.

May 7, 2020 – Ms. Parichat Atsawakul, Deputy Managing Director, Corporate Administration Business Group, BLCP Power Limited (BLCP), presented 6,400 Face Shields to the Rayong Provincial Public Health Office, Maptaphut City Municipality, and Ban Chang Subdistrict Municipality. The donation was received by Dr. Sunthorn Rianphumkarnkit, Rayong Provincial Public Health Doctor; Mr. Thawin Phothibua Thong, Mayor of Maptaphut City; Mr. Suchin Poolhiran, Mayor of Ban Chang Subdistrict; and local community leaders, for distribution to medical personnel, public health officials, and Village Health Volunteers (VHVs). On the same day, BLCP also donated 3,500 Face Shields to the Thai Maritime Enforcement Command Center (Thai MECC Region 1). The company provided materials and engaged local communities to produce these Face Shields, thereby generating continuous income for the communities.

Ms. Parichat Atsawakul stated, "BLCP is concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Even though the situation has started to ease somewhat, especially with the number of new infections down to a single digit and some businesses reopening or easing lockdown measures, we cannot be complacent, as the pandemic continues to spread in other countries. The company is ready to provide full assistance and support, particularly in ensuring the well-being of communities that need continuous income to support their families during this crisis. BLCP has enabled communities to earn income by commissioning them to produce cloth masks and Face Shields. These were then distributed to medical personnel, government agencies, and affected individuals. BLCP is ready to overcome the COVID-19 crisis together. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and not let their guard down."
