BLCP wins The Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2025 in ‘Safety Management’ category, achieving ESG power plant standards and driving sustainable Thai economy.

Amidst the challenges of energy transition and growing sustainability awareness, BLCP Power Limited (BLCP) has once again demonstrated that electricity generation to drive the nation can be perfectly integrated with caring for ‘people’ and the ‘environment’. The company recently received the national award, The Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2025, reaffirming its status as a model power plant for sustainability.

On August 10, 2569, at the Grand Ballroom, Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Mr. Yuthana Charoenwong, Managing Director of BLCP Power Limited (BLCP), accepted the prestigious Thai industry award, The Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2025, in the Safety Management category. The award was presented by Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry.

This achievement is not a coincidence but a result of BLCP's deep-rooted commitment, driven by an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) core. The company not only focuses on production capacity to meet national demand but also places immense importance on the lives of ‘people’ and the integrity of the ‘environment,’ which are crucial pieces of true sustainability.

Winning the safety award this year reaffirms BLCP's excellent and consistent operational standards, positioning the company as "the first power plant in the Eastern region" to win The Prime Minister’s Industry Award in three different categories. This reflects comprehensive governance in all dimensions of management, namely:

•Environmental Dimension: Received the Environmental Quality Preservation category award (Year 2542)

•Social Dimension: Received the Social Responsibility category award (Year 2566)

•Governance and Management Dimension: Received the Safety Management category award (Year 2555 and most recently in Year 2568)

For The Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2025, which involved a rigorous and transparent selection process yielding 40 model organizations from 162 nationwide, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry, emphasized the “ONE MIND” vision. This vision aims to unite all sectors to enhance the capabilities of Thai industry, fostering growth alongside communities, society, and the environment.

BLCP's success in this instance concretely reflects the Ministry's "MIND" policy (Good Industry, Coexisting Sustainably with Communities).
