BLCP Power Station's Air Quality Report for July 2025 presents measurement results from both the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) and the 4 surrounding Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS). All measured results are within the specified standards and safe for health.
For measurements from the stack (CEMS), the parameters measured include Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx). All measured values are below both the Thai legal standards and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) requirements. For example, the Thai legal standard for TSP is not exceeding 120 mg/m³@7%O2, and the EIA requirement is not exceeding 43 mg/m³@7%O2, with all measured results being within these criteria.
As for ambient air quality measurements (AQMS) from the 4 stations, namely Wat Takuan, Soi Thoed Thai Muslim, PTT Staff Housing Fence, and Wat Mab Chalood, the parameters measured include Total Suspended Particulates (TSP), Particulate Matter less than 10 microns (PM10), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2). All measured results are within Thai legal standards. For example, the standard for TSP is not exceeding 330 µg/m³, and for PM10 is not exceeding 120 µg/m³.
BLCP Power Station employs pollution control measures using clean coal technology, such as Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) for particulate matter control and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) for SO2 removal. Additionally, 24-hour monitoring is conducted using an automated system, with results reported to government agencies and disclosed to the community monthly.
