Meeting Report of the BLCP Power Station Tripartite Committee No. 83-1/2566, held on Friday, May 26, 2566, to acknowledge the report of Meeting No. 82-3/2565 held on September 28, 2565, and summarize the operational performance of BLCP Power Station, including environmental quality monitoring and compliance with environmental impact mitigation measures during July-August 2565.
Regarding operations and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities between July-August 2565, BLCP Power Station organized several key activities, such as welcoming the Deputy Governor of Rayong Province to visit the power plant, supporting the Rayong Provincial Sports Development Foundation, awarding 40 scholarships totaling 150,000 Baht under the “Nong Nong Rian Dee Kub BLCP” (Good Students with BLCP) project, and scholarships for children of personnel at the Rayong Marine Department Office, as well as industrial technician students at Map Ta Phut and Rayong Technical Colleges. Additionally, it received the Environmental and Safety Governance Flag Award for 2564 and passed the re-certification audit for ISO14001 & ISO45001.
Regarding other social activities, BLCP organized a community forest planting activity at Ban Nong Lalok and supported various community activities, such as donating drinking water to support the Housewives Association of the Ministry of Interior and Somdet Phra Pinklao Hospital, donating rice at the Thung Krachad traditional festival, and organizing dialogues to foster understanding about the power plant among communities in Map Ta Phut Municipality. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Friends of the Community Association, it organized the 'Talad Pan Suk' (Sharing Market) project, generating 734,852 Baht in income for community enterprises, and provided online sales training for elderly community enterprises.
For the operational performance of the power plant and coal-handling port during July-August 2565, a total of 682,549 tons of coal were handled, with an average sulfur content of 0.43%, which complies with EIA requirements. Net electricity generation totaled 1,000,111 MWh, and 107,756.45 tons of fly ash and 14,607.35 tons of bottom ash were exported.
Environmental quality monitoring results showed that sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide emissions from the power plant stacks were within EIA standards, and opacity and particulate matter levels also met standards, with only Unit 1 having particulate matter levels close to the standard during late July and August due to burner adjustments and soot blowing. Water quality in the cooling water discharge canal (temperature, pH, chlorine) and ambient air quality in the general Map Ta Phut area (TSP, PM10, SO2, NOx) all met the specified standards.
Additionally, general noise levels around the power plant were within standards, and seawater quality in Map Ta Phut Bay, including seawater temperature and marine ecology (phytoplankton and zooplankton), also met standards, indicating that the marine environment remains suitable for marine life. BLCP Power Station and the coal-handling port have fully complied with various environmental impact mitigation measures, including air quality, surface water, waste management, ecosystems, transportation, public health, and aesthetics.
